One of the key strengths of Erskine school is it’s community spirit. This cannot happen without strong parent support, dedicated teachers, support staff and students. Erskine has a strong academic program and athletic opportunities that are second to none.
In order for a healthy community to develop, students need to be accountable and responsible. As parents, you are partners in the development of these characteristics and their education as a whole. All children are born with potential and it is the mandate of parents and teachers to develop this potential. Choose success! We guide students by setting and communicating behavior expectations and having consistent discipline. Our Fair Play policy reinforces expectations of students to:
1. Respect the rules.
2. Respect adults and their decisions.
3. Give everyone an equal chance to participate.
4. Use good manners.
5. Maintain your self-control at all times.
Students need to be cheered ‘on’, acknowledged for positive behaviors, and be accountable when mistakes are made. We can accomplish this through recognition of their successes with programs such as ‘Student of the Week’ and problem solving together when events go wrong.
Please remain part of your child’s education. Call if you have questions, support the school’s endeavors, and, in turn, develop your child into the best he/she can be!
